{ Birthday Blossoms }

All images copyright Stampin' Up!

I have tons of inspiration to make cards, but none for the cards that I need to make.... hence the reason my brother's birthday card has not been completed yet.

This card was a lot of fun to do. To make the heart I cut a heart out of scrap paper and taped it down over the card stock. I then used pastels to make a pink background and stamped over that with the dots and small flower stamps from SU's Delight in Life set. The "happy birthday" is heat embossed and I edged the card with pastels. Really pretty IRL. Enjoy!

Recipe:

Stamps: SU Delight in Life, It's Your Birthday
Paper: SU Very Vanilla
Ink: SU Craft Rose Red
Embellishments: SU Ribbon
Other: SU Pastels, Joann's Clear Embossing Powder
Techniques: Heat Embossing, Masking

OMG...this is such an excellent card and a super idea for this set (which, although beautiful, is not a fave)...can you say CASE?
